COST BREAKDOWN OF
DRAGGED TIRES

A tire survey was done on a estimate of 350 tractors
at 2½ trailers per truck. An average of 40 tires were
destroyed and rebuilt from a fleet of 875 trailers. Of the
40 tires, 20 had to be replaced at a cost of
approximately $435.00 per tire. The other 20 tires
which were not totally ruined, were rebuilt for a cost
of $185.00 per tire. The original cores of the 20
destroyed tires were priced out for about $100.00 per
core.

Safety prevention is a big concern to the trucking
industry. We feel with the SKIDDD Wheel Indicator,
both the driver and fleet owner, would be able to put
money in their pockets.
